Establishing a foundation of trust while offering individualized care throughout the pregnancy journey.
Jessica has always been passionate about pregnancy and birth, even as a young child. After having two hospital births, she welcomed her last child at home with a midwife in Jacksonville. This experience inspired her to begin working alongside families during pregnancy and birth. In 2009, she completed doula training with local trainer Rae Davies and began her birth doula work supporting families.
Jessica began working as a doula and, a few years later, became a birth assistant to many respected midwives in both home birth and birth center settings.
After homeschooling her children and waiting until they were older and more self-sufficient, she decided the time was right to pursue her passion. She attended the Florida School of Traditional Midwifery, a three-year direct-entry midwifery program in Gainesville, Florida, and graduated in 2021. Jessica appreciates all parts of midwifery, especially prenatal care, spending quality time getting to know each family, and supporting families as they transition into parenthood.

After spending over a decade in the Jacksonville birth community and often working in busy birth centers, it became clear that spending more time one-on-one with families was the right path. Limiting the number of families served each month allows for individualized care and a healthy work-life balance, helping Jessica continue serving the community for years to come.

She is the mother of three wonderful young adults. When she is not attending births, you can find her growing a wide variety of plants in her food forest or caring for the many animals that are part of the family, including three dogs, three cats, a pony, and a dozen chickens.

As a Florida Licensed Midwife, Jessica participates in regular peer review and continuing education. She is certified in Neonatal Resuscitation and Basic Life Support (CPR).
